In a women’s beauty portrait session we create beautiful images of you as you are right now. Age, size and shape doesn’t matter! The end result is a series of beautiful portraits of you looking your absolute best.
Get pampered with professional hair and makeup and have some fun being a model for a day!
This session is all about you! Your day and your portraits. We will create them in exactly the style you would like.
Before your session, you will have a pre-session consultation over the phone to plan and talk about your shoot. We plan colours, clothes and chat about the style you like. Whether its soft and ethereal, romantic or dark and dramatic, we will capture the essence of you. It is your session; your portraits – you decide how you want them.
Your session starts with a relaxing hour of professional hair and makeup in exactly the style you like. Ellie from The Big Blow is a professional hair and makeup artist with over 20 years experience. She can do any skin / any hair. Just tell her the style you want, and she will make you look amazing for your shoot. You may even book a night out after the shoot, as you will look your absolute best.
Your portrait shoot is about having fun. The studio has a selection of dresses and outfits that you are welcome to use during your shoot. You are also recommended to bring your own outfits, as it is important you wear something that makes you feel comfortable.
There is no limit to how many outfits you can wear during your shoot. Have some fun, try on different things and see what you like. It is a fun process to wear different outfits and match them with various backgrounds in order to create a great variety of looks for your final gallery.
Don’t worry if you are camera shy or haven’t done a photoshoot before! Theresa will gently guide you through every step and every pose.
Ultimately, these sessions are fun and relaxed. It really is just turning up, getting pampered and following posing instructions. None of us are born models. Theresa can pose anyone so they look their absolute best. She is trained in explaining how to do the best poses for every body shape. Simply just follow her instructions. The outcome is a series of beautiful portraits of you looking amazing.
It takes around two weeks for your images to be ready. Theresa will select and edit a final gallery of 20 images. Once they are ready you will be invited back to the studio for your in-person viewing session.
You will see you final gallery on a TV screen and can then select which ones you would like to purchase as per the price list. It is totally up to you which images you would like to invest in and what format you would like them in (digital, framed prints, canvases..). There is no hard sell.
Basically, you choose which of the final images you would like to purchase. It is all up to you, you only buy what you like. Having said that, most women fall in love with all of them.

How do you envision yourself being photographed? What look do you want to achieve? Soft and eternal or dark and dramatic…?
We will talk colours, outfits, style… I will answer any question you may have and give you all the information you need before your portrait session. (You are under no obligation to book a session at the end of our consultation)
Please come alone to your pre-session appointment (no children) as I want the focus to be entirely on YOU.

You will start by having professional hair and makeup done by my makeup artist so you feel absolutely gorgeous before we start your portrait session. Once you have approved your look, and have changed into your chosen first outfit, I will gently guide you through a row of different poses and looks whilst working with you to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
There is no time limit to any of my sessions. We take the time we need for outfit changes and creative inputs. I will shoot using various backdrops and lighting techniques so you end up with an incredibly diverse selection of portraits.
Two weeks after your session, you will be invited back to my studio for your reveal and ordering session. I will present a beautiful print display of your 20 final images.

You are not obliged to buy anything, I do not hard sell! What you buy is entirely up to you. Having said, that I always do my best to create portraits that you will fall in love with and don’t want to be without
All my sessions are tailor made to your needs. You can bring whoever you like for your session and we will do exactly the style you like.
The session fee is $299 and covers the three main elements of your portrait session:

Your portrait session at my studio. Included in your session is 1 hour professional hair and makeup for one person. Full usage of all outfits, dresses and props.
About two weeks after your session you are invited back to the studio for your in-person viewing and ordering session. Your final gallery consists of 20 images, beautifully printed and mounted for you to choose from. There is no hard sell, if you don't like them, you don't have to spend a cent.

Most people invest $1500-3000 in their portrait session.
